Technical Sales Advisor

We are currently looking for a Technical Sales Advisor. This position is based in Spain, region Almeria – South Murcia.

Tasks and responsibilities

Promote sales of the Crop Vitality Range via the operational sales activities for the Kerley International liquid fertilizers business in Spain in line with the sales strategy to deliver sales and margin targets in a for her/his appointed territory.

Responsible for contributing with his work and experience to the sales of the area.

Develop new arguments, ideas of use and services to the current products of the Crop Vitality portfolio and future products implementing complete programs that provide solutions to the market demand, customers and farmers;


  • Collaborate with area distributors to promote and develop the Crop Vitality Range use;
  • Visits to the farms to promote the Crop Vitality Range;
  • Identify and visit big farms/accounts to promote the Crop Vitality Range;
  • Support the dealer’s sales teams in the promotion and use of the Crop Vitality range;
  • Approach customers and offer them advice on products to persuade them to buy;
  • Monitor and report competitive activity;
  • Monitor the customer needs and trends;
  • Captures feedback from competitors and market evolution in order to evaluate the impact on the overall sales strategy.


  • Follow up the trials on going in the area (sample, collect of data…);
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Technical manager to decide the key demo trials to get the maximum returns in terms of sales;
  • Submit periodic reports as required by the technical manager;
  • Establishes effective relationships with customers based on adding value to our proposals via technical advice;


  • Actively contributes to a safe working environment for all employees.


  • Degree in Agronomy (or equal by experience);
  • 5 years of relevant experience in the agrochemical sector, agro cooperative technical support or farm management;
  • Experience in the successful management of farmers/growers;
  • High knowledge of key crops as well as current solutions and future trends;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of agricultural practice with specific expertise in fertilizers management and main crops in the area;
  • Entrepreneurial, assuming responsibility for performance, recognizing opportunities and acting efficiently;
  • Self-resilient / highly motivated and organized, disciplined and fact based decision taking;
  • You possess excellent communication and presentation skills in Spanish and a good knowledge of English is a plus;
  • Prepared to travel occasionally to other areas;
  • Complete knowledge of usual software (Word, Windows,Excel, Powerpoint,etc);
  • Ability to develop a deep understanding of market and products;
  • Strong knowledge of the distribution business, our position within it and importance, market dynamics and current and future requirements that allow us to advance position strategies vs competitors.
