Supply Chain Officer

DYKA is a producer and supplier of plastic pipe systems and is therefore part of the BU Plastic Pipe Systems. We have a strong brand in the construction sector. We are a company with considerable ambition and this also applies to the supply chain department.

The supply chain department works on a BU level and coordinates between the various warehouses in 8 different countries. 

Tasks and responsibilities

Your main role will be to participate in the successful delivery of predefined project results within the supply chain of the BU. These projects can vary between transport, forecasting, order pick processes or anything else you consider to be relevant.

You will help in terms of deploying SC initiatives and the proactive signaling of opportunities, and therefore maximize both the internal and external customer satisfaction levels.

You will provide support to local Logistics Managers by implementing process improvements in order to drive the maturity of the PPS SC. You will also play a part in managing SC suppliers to enhance their performance and stimulate collaboration against effective costs.

As you might well appreciate, this role encompasses a wide variety of tasks with operational and strategic characteristics.

Profile

For the position of Supply Chain Officer, we are looking for candidates who are able to work in both a proactive and independent manner. You will have a prominent role in the further development and implementation of improvement projects. Therefore, you should possess creativity and perseverance, be able to take initiative, as well as demonstrate a clear ability to work in teams and be results-driven.

Experience and knowledge required

  • HBO (Bachelor) degree with a specialization in supply chain management
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Fluent spoken and written English, knowledge of French is a big advantage, while Dutch is a bonus
  • Experience in project work
  • Good organizer and planner
  • Adventurous, proactive and hands-on
  • Willingness to travel on an international basis (40-60% of the time)
