PB Gelatins/PB Leiner is looking for a motivated Global S&OP manager to join the business unit.

Job Description:

To develop, manage and steer the Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) activities of the entire business unit on both long and short term, in order to guarantee that planning schedules from all departments,  from raw materials purchase planning up to final product sales planning, are aligned, so that the optimal sales plan in line with the BU level sales strategy can be executed in line with the lowest Total Cost of Ownership.

Responsabilities :

  • Responsible to  manage, streamline and continuous improve the sales and operations planning process, both at BU level as at regional / plant level.
  • Responsible to develop and implement the right tools to manage the S&OP activities.
  • Responsible for the master production schedule in order to give the agreed service to our customers with lowest total cost of ownership.
  • Develops a detailed understanding of local planning processes, business requirements and constraints.
  • Cooperates with local Plants to assure aligned capacity and deployment plans
  • Manage the demand plan (S&OP forecast) vs actuals.
  • Continuously challenges and improves local replenishment strategies and planning processes together with local planners and business counterparts
  • Strategic advices on stock strategy and quality, long term planning and inventory management.
  • Monitors execution of plans, demand/supply balance and process performance to ensure that agreed service levels are met or exceeded
  • Resolves critical deviations from plans and supply issues on the spot in close cooperation with key stake-holders or escalates through appropriate channel
  • Reports on risks and opportunities in relation to the S&OP process outcome.
  • Report, attain and drive improvements to Key Performance Indicators of the BU and the S&OP process
  • Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across departments and across countries.
  • Provide thoughtful leadership and direction to peers through training and coaching.
  • Develop the ERP system so that the ERP functionalities are fully used supporting the S&OP process

Profile:

  • Master degree, with 10 years of experience in a cross-functional business position
  • Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Planning / Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to optimize delivery reliability, cost efficiency and working capital management
  • Problem solving skills and ability to take a cross-functional helicopter business perspective
  • Strong analytical skills, experience with large data sets and data analysis
  • Strong communication skills
  • Collaborative and flexible work style
  • Self-motivated, comfortable working with ambiguity and managing complexity in a global, fast-paced organization
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP and SAP BPC is a plus
  • Willing to travel approximately 30% of the time
  • Courage and curiosity to challenge (critical thinker), results-focused
  • Thourough knowledge of English, knowledge of Dutch is a plus
